TruScape LLC was founded in January 2020 when Jimmy Patterson and Shane Covalesky connected through a national lawn care Facebook group. Both had navigated the challenges of starting their own lawn care businesses and learned valuable lessons along the way. Their partnership was born from a shared vision to provide unparalleled customer service — starting with a Ram 1500, a trailer, and a single zero‑turn mower.
What began as a small‑scale operation transformed as TruScape connected with larger property managers and listened to the needs of the community. The goal was no longer just to serve, but to become a name synonymous with quality, integrity, and professionalism in lawn and landscape services across Western PA.
In February 2023, the company evolved as Shane pursued other paths, and Jimmy and his wife Leah became the sole stewards of the TruScape vision. Today, we remain locally owned and family operated — not private equity, not a franchise. From a single truck and trailer to a thriving enterprise, TruScape's growth is a promise that no matter how large we grow, our dedication to you remains at the heart of everything we do.
